Devil Arms, Angel Arms & Firearms

Ronin

Let's rock, baby!
I thought I remake my last thread. This time with not just melee weaponry from demons and angels, but also guns.

Anyway, what do you think of my ideas for Dante in DmC2? During his normal human state, his weapons look normal but infused with nephilim energy.

Melee:
Sword - Rebellion: (His main weapon)
Devil Trigger Mode: Arbiter Axe
Angel Trigger Mode: Osiris Scythe

Martial Arts (Gauntlets & Shinguards)
Devil Trigger Mode: Wrestling, Judo, Jujutsu & Vale Tudo
Angel Trigger Mode: Karate, Kung Fu, Ninjutsu & Capoeira

Nunchucks
Devil Trigger Mode: Kusarigama - the flail at the end turns into a meteor hammer
Angel Trigger Mode: 3-Section Staff/Bladed Nunchucks (perhaps turn into like Cerberus)

Instrument (Guitar or a horn)
Devil Trigger Mode: Heavy Metal Guitar
Angel Trigger Mode: Acoustic Jazz/Latin Guitar

Bo Staff
Devil Trigger Mode: Kwan Dao
Angel Trigger Mode: Halberd

Boomerangs
Devil Trigger Mode: Chakrams
Angel Trigger Mode: Aquila Shurikens

Firearms:
Handguns - Ebony & Ivory
Shotgun - Revenant

(new)
Sniper Rifle
Grenade Gun
Submachine Gun
Missile Launcher
Crossbows

Which melee would you pick to lessen the arsenal?

Would all of you want magic elemental properties back from the previous DMCs into the new dmc's weapons?

In devil mode, how about fire, earth, metal & darkness
In angel mode, how about wind, water, ice, lightning & light

Tecnically, There are only Seven Elements. Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Light, and Darkness.

Metal is a subsidiary of earth (along with "nature")

Lightning can go angel or demon to even it out.

Didn't think "darkness" counted as a "real" element seeing as how it's only a "large shadow". Which is why in my game, I've equated "darkness" to "psychological fear".

"Fear" isn't on there, but you know what I mean. "Blindness" can also count as "darkness" imho.

Allow me to present my counter argument: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CastingAShadow?from=Main.DarkIsEdgy

Good one. "Darkness" can count as "Gravity" or just a "negative" version of an existing power.

Edit: From the page you've shown me, "Light" is fueled by "Good", but I think "Light" should equal "Radiation" since it also gives off heat.

The difference being, that while fire is destructive, the radiation part can be applied to continuous damage.

- Metal
- Darkness

Angel Trigger:
- Wind
- Water
- Ice
- Thunder (lightning)
- Light

DMC4 didn't have elements. The weapons don't really need them unless there's special attributes attached to them.

Um.. I just want to have 2 sub macnine guns like dmc2 Dante.

I just love bullet shells raining all around me!

Yea don't hate. dmc2 is better than dmc4....just way more style

I like rebellion to become arbiter in devil trigger & osiris in angel trigger.

When in devil/angel trigger mode, his weapons change along with them.

Seconded.

I thought that since Dante uses rebellion. True in the game Dante switches weapons, angel & demon and all.

But what happens if Dante's weapon is just a sword and when he transforms in devil trigger his weapon changes into Arbiter and when he transforms in angel trigger his weapon changes to Osiris?

Dante will have normal weapons: A sword, gauntlets & shinguards, staff, nunchucks, dual swords/daggers, boomerangs & an instrument. Rebellion won't be the only shape-shifting weapon.

Gauntlets & Shinguards: They look like ordinary gauntlets & shinguards for hand-to-hand combat. Bringing back the Kick 13.
But when they change, they turn into lethal weapons and Dante' s martial arts are enhanced.
Devil Weapon Mode: Like Ifrit & Gilgamesh.
Angel Weapon Mode: Like Beowulf.
