Videogamer (PS3) - 7

Famitsu - 8.75/10.0

This means this game is generally positive received, with scores averaging around 8.

Don't ask me about Famitsu's score, since apparently it is a new scoring system. It seems they divide the total score with 4. There are 4 reviewers, three gave the game 9s, while one gave it an 8. The total score should be 35/40.

My personal score for the Xbox 360 version is 8/10 as well. The good things about this game are interesting story, nice graphics, satisfying zombie slaying experience, and more balanced gameplay than the first one. The bad things about this game is hard bosses, some awkward voice acting, strict gameplay time, and graphic problems.

EDIT: I will make a proper review for this game, Yakuza 3, and God of War III soon.

Dead Rising 2 should retain a mode that completely scratches the time and allows you (and your friend if you're in co-op) to do whatever you want for however long. I'm currently playing the game now, if there is one, I haven't unlocked it yet. But point giving I have only been playing for about 3 hours now.

I am afraid there isn't which is a shame and there is no infinite mode which I remember enjoying (it felt so close to being in a real life zombie apocalypse)

This game was very fun but my word did it get hard at the end. Talk about old school stacking the odds against you. I highly suggest to anyone getting this that you get yourself to about lvl 40-50 before even attempting the story seriously. It's possible at lower levels but I just scraped overtime by the skin of my teeth at lvl 35 it was insane.

But yeah great fun.

If I recall there was a mode that extended the time or something similar, but I could be wrong, please forgive me if I am.

But yes, Dead Rising 2 gets really, REALLY hard at the end. I, like you, would suggest to play the game 3 or 4 times first then go for the story. I however went in only at level 21, managed to almost, almost beat it. It always helps to have an extra partner go at it with you too, as I'm trying to find someone to play it with D: lol.

But yeah, this game is great so far.
