Darn pesky game

Am doing the line up the generators chapter, it sucks big time, bloody hard to figure and its leeching every moment of pleasure the game has given so far. But what I wanna know, what the rubber duck has jumping up and down and twirling things round got to do with the format of the game play, leaping and fighting???
Seriously gonna tell anyone I come across it sucks balls and dont buy it
