Dante's old home=his new office?

DragonMaster2010

Don't Let the Fall of America be Your Fall
I just had an interesting thought while looking at the home truths gameplay.

What if at the end of DmC, Dante makes his old childhood home his Devil May Cry office?

It would kind of make sense since it's still legally his home, and if he fixes it up, it could really look like an office AND a home as well.^_^

What do you guys think?

I have a feeling that the whole city will look like DMC3's apapocalyptic scenery by the end. So it will potentially look really run down (more so than it already is) or completely destroyed by limbo for that matter.

Interesting idea but it would seem to be a bit excessive to use a mansion as his office and living in a place like that wouldn't really fit the theme of the charicter.

From rags to riches.

Though it's not like that house is gonna be all royalty and junk. It'll probably have a few couches here and there, a television like in his old home, and his room will be in one of the guest rooms. And his office could be within the home of Sparda's picture.

But this isn't a rags to riches story. NT has clearly described what the story is about (Dante starting out fighting for himself and becoming part of something more important). It's about Dante improving the world not his own life.

He didn't mean that literally. He meant that he'll have a home, an establishment. The house is falling apart anyway. I can see him just adding a nice tv, phone service and trophy room and of course, his office.

Just a possibility anyway.

perhaps the house gets (more) demolished so dante uses whats left to build his office

Why can't this Dante have a big house? Or in this case a big office?

One room for his sleeping arrangements

One for the demon and angel weapons or items he finds.

One room for his office.

A bathroom

and chill out room with billiard balls and sh*t.

And a cell phone so people call him to hunt demons.

Like Batman and his big ass house.

Dante will give his old home a makeover and make his new organization "Devil May Cry". He too can surely use a makeover as well. Even his hair should go white in the end.

I think he'll just have something similar to the office he had in DMC4. But he'd probably have what you said, so it's more like a little apartment as well. Hey I bet instead of that old fashion phone on the desk he'll just have a cell phone, I mean wouldn't that be more practical? still I hope we get that little trendy old phone back, I kinda like it.

And wasn't it often a gag in the series Dante didn't have much money? (or was that just in the anime?) maybe he can't afford a big house, well, unless he got hold of any of Vergil's money.

It would be, but I mean...he's got that large house to himself. Don't you think he'd use it for something if it doesn't get destroyed?

Probably, if it did stay then Dante might fix it up. But at the same time it would have painful memories from his mother dying, so would he really want to stay there even if the mansion didn't get destroyed?

That's why I figure on the fresh start, he might want to settled down in his own place without the past constantly reminding him of what he's lost.

Yeah there's that. He'll probably do what Ed and Al did in FMA and burn his hold home so that he doesn't look back. But I think he'll still take that large painting of Sparda with him.

He was in a orphanage, he had a losers life.
I think it's fair enough for him to have what he has lost.

I think it's way too big to be used as his office...

Dante's old home is a plot device. It'll be used to trigger old memories, to explain things about the past, to show how did Dante get the demon weapon...

However I don't see it being used as his new office.
