Dante and Spider-man: Brothers in arms?

I just played through Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions and I realised that spidey's personality is a whole lot like Dante with his so-bad-it's-good jokes and cheesy lines. Both of them are also rather carefree as they hardly take things seriously and laugh at the face of adversity. What do you guys think?

too be fair, being fippant in the face of danger is rather common in many characters.

I feel that they are different since spidey is more of a straightforward her while Dante is more anti-hero.
