This will be where I will be putting up one-shot fan fics of all sorts, and even some sketches if I get around to them. Here is an Inuyasha fan fic, the paring is kagome/kouga. It's a Romance/Angst theme. (By the way...I don't own Inuyasha, wishful thinking!)
It's not one of my better written fan fics, I just wanted to write something and here it is. Enjoy!
Kagome dug the edge of her knife further into the bone, slowly pulling it back. She repeated the motion a few times, adding more details to her carving. The Miko pulled it back to observe her masterpiece-a wolf howling to the moon. It had taken her awhile to get it right, but now it was completed. Kagome happily smiled as she stowed it away in a pouch, tying it to her hakama. The Miko let out a strained gasp as she stood up. ‘I’m not as young as I used to be’ Kagome sadly thought.
It has been fifty-six years since the defeat of Naraku and the disappearance of the Shikon No Tama. She and Inuyasha have lived a fairly peaceful life, save for a few arguments here and there. Even though all those years have passed, it still seemed as though they happened yesterday. A stern, but worried voice broke her out of her memories.
“Kagome, you shouldn’t be walking around!” Inuyasha said as he pushed aside the bamboo curtain, his amber eyes softening as he gazed upon his lover.
“I’m totally helpless!” Kagome huffed, slowly making it towards the Hanyou’s side. “Where are Saki and Taro?” She asked.
“Out helping the villagers,” the hanyou replied.
“I see,” Kagome nodded. “Inuyasha, I have a favour to ask you…” she whispered softly.
Inuyasha’s ears twitched as he looked down at her.
“What is it?” He asked roughly.
“I would like you to take me to see Kouga.” The Miko said.
“Why do you want to see that flea bag?” The hanyou growled, clearly not approving of his mates request. Kagome wanted to yell at him but decided against it, she needed to save her breath.
“Please, Inuyasha.” She quietly pleaded.
“Fine, but I’m not doing this again.” Inuyasha ground out, turning his back to her. “Get on my back,” The Miko obliged and rested her head on his shoulder as he effortlessly picked her up. ‘There won’t be a next time anyways’ Kagome wanted to say but couldn’t dare hurt Inuyasha more than he already is. He may not show it but his eyes tell a different story, he knows Kagome’s time is slowly coming to a close.
The duo travelled into the heart of the mountains where the core of the Wolf Tribes resided, arriving at their destination at nightfall. Two Wolf Demon guards smelled their presence and jumped down from their lookout, spears raised at the intruders that dared trespass on their land.
“Leave this land, you are not welcomed here!” One of them growled ferociously.
“I’m here to see your Chief, Kouga.” Kagome said in a commanding voice.
“What business do you have with him?” The other Wolf Demon narrowed his eyes at the hanyou and Miko.
“Tell him an old friend wishes to speak with him one last time.” Kagome whispered quietly.
“Kagome-Chan?” One asked softly, the Miko nodded. “Kagome-Chan!” Both the Wolf Demons exclaimed in unison. “Do you remember us?” They asked as they stepped out of the shadows, revealing one with a Mohawk and the other with a black streak of hair sandwiched between two grey ones.
“Ginta, Hakkaku,” Kagome smiled, they have done so much for them back the day.
“She does remember us!” Ginta said happily. “I’ll go get Kouga, wait here.” He quickly dashed away.
“How have you been doing Nee-san?” Hakkaku asked; it has been years since everyone has last seen her.
“Oh this and that,” She softly laughed as she slowly got off of Inuyasha’s back. “How about Ginta and yourself?”
“We’ve been busy since Kouga became Chief of the Tribes, you wouldn’t believe all the running around we have to do!” Hakkaku sighed, Kagome couldn’t help but giggle. They were always chasing after Kouga, hardly catching a break. Now it seems they still don’t get one.
“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” A cocky voice said as the figure jumped down to meet them. “It’s been while mutt-face.”
Inuyasha flared his nostrils at the Wolf. “What ever flea bag,” he retorted. “I’ll be back for you in a bit Kagome; I can’t stand the smell of Wolf any longer.” With that he dashed away into the nearby forest, leaving Kagome alone with the two wolves.
“Let’s go somewhere a bit more private,” Kouga picked the Miko up bridal style and took her to a cliff peak overlooking a small waterfall.
“It’s beautiful,” Kagome said in awe, the moon was at its peak, casting an ethereal glow on everything in contact with its moonlight.
“Yeah,” The Wolf Chief agreed. “What brings you here to the heart of the mountains? It’s quite the trip.” Kouga asked.
“I wanted to see you…talk to you one last time.” Kagome replied honestly, staring out into the distance.
“Kagome…” Kouga whispered, touched that she would travel here as her final wish.
