Since if many do not approve of the look of the new Dante. Then I guess if ever a deeper gameplay will be added then let the player change Dante's look. Customize Dante in what we the players think is "cool", since as seen in the trailer ALOT do not approve of him being cool. So do your own thing with Dante. You can have him strip down, change dye hair colors, accessories, we can lose the cigar and so on. Also equipments can be changed here what he will use in a certain stage.

Yes you herd me right strip the young Dante down.

He was already stripped off his jacket and chained in the trailer so this could happen also he was probably taken in because he was walking around with Rebellion the only(weapon) thing left from his father back then.

I think he would look better without the jacket and a different color tang top. Or maybe tie the jacket around his waist. Something like that.

Mmm-mm, dayum. I wouldn't mind if stripped down like that. ;P
Nice artwork btw.

Well, I would like if he an unlockable version of one of his past outfits, with a red longcoat and such. Though, with his current look, a longcoat would just make him appear like a Neo (Matrix) rip-off.

Also, if they are serious about having Dante look more punk'ish in DmC, I say go all the way in one of his costumes. Let him have torn jeans, spike-studded armbands and collar and maybe a long, thin tie hanging loose around his neck. However, should he get an outfit like that, people would just go crazy insane over that he looks "emo", but I've always liked that style.

INB4 "SUSPENDERS" LOLOLOL

Seriously though, I can definitely see them including unlockable versions of his past outfits as a means to please some of the already ticked-off fans.

And loosing the cigarette would be a nice touch!

I also wouldn't mind having a few more punk outfits as well, but seeing as there are so many people out there that are misinterpreting British Punk with "Emo," it might also be a good idea to include some (really) casual outfits as well. AKA - a regular red shirt and a pair of jeans, or maybe something with a simple hoodie, etc.

And amazing artwork, btw.

^ I dunno... those chaps with the zipper just look awful and awkward. Not a fan of them. DMC4 was not Dante's best game appearance wise.

As far as original appearances go, DMC1 Dante will remain my favorite. DMC2 Dante had a pretty nice outfit too, but seriously, the original outfit was pure win.

Dayuuum Dante would look hawt with some clothes missing. Although...if that were to happen, it would be like GTA but DMC style. XD

^ I agree with this. The nipple straps in the third game were a bad move! As far as new Dante goes I don't mind what he wearing....another good point about new Dante - I'm getting there!

I'd like to use the LDK costume again, actually. That one looked awesome and was quite functional with it's Sparda DT.

There wasn't anything wrong with their designs for 1, 2, 3 or 4, all fine. If I had to alter those in some way, or make something new for him, I'd say it would be more interesting to let him dress as other characters - Nero, and Vergil and of course Sparda which basically we had before. But also would be amusing to dress as Lady and Trish - I don't mean in their actual clothes, I mean in the same style. So he could have a matching black leather outfit with lightning design similar to trish, and he could have a white shirt and brown combats, with lots of straps and ammo on him, like Lady. Would be entertaining. Think I'd rather have Lady as an unlockable character though! woo

I think adding anything new, or allowing for too much player customization would make it too much like a generic character, I think it's more interesting to have set costumes by the developer, since it allows them to define what the character is about. I enjoyed everything had to unlock in 3.

It's funny how the "outdated" outfits in 1 and 2 looked the best, while the newer, supposedly "hipper" outfits in 3 and 4 ended up looking worse. XD

I dunno, I agree as much as I disagree. I liked all the outfits the same. They all looked hip, just in different ways. Dante hasn't had a set "look" since the beginning.

DMC 1 Dante looked coolest, DMC 2 was scariest, DMC 3 looked sexiest, DMC 4 was an even mix of sexy and cool as well as mature. DMC 5 Dante just seems to be a more hip, but rugged Dante.
