While details regarding Ninja Theory’s DmC have been scarce, last week a few tidbits of information regarding the reboot was shared during Capcom’s “Ask Capcom Live” segment.

Recently Seth Killian, Community Manager at Capcom, and Christian Svensson have had the opportunity to play the latest build of DmC. According to Killian the game is “unmistakeably DMC”. Killian was most likely referring to gameplay elements of the game.

Svensson chimed in and stated that after playing DmC he had to replay DMC4 to see how DmC compares to that game. He agreed with Killian saying that it( DmC ) is still DMC at it’s core. Killian also touched on the graphics of the game saying that ”there’s some really beautiful stuff happening in the visuals”.

After being a no-show at Capcom’s recent annual press event, Captivate, gamers are hoping to see DmC in action at E3 next month. Will it be enough to sway the skeptics?

The brief discussion regarding DmC starts around the 3 minute mark of the video.

This gives me a lot of hope. I hope people will take this into consideration when forming an opinion.

Its Capcom. Of course they are going to say that. I'll believe it when I see it.

woah wait a minute, they've already got someone playing demos? i haven't heard **** on anything concerning DmC in game informer or anything.

This is good news, good find CM, I'm still a bit skeptical though, game developers love giving my hopes and dreams a good spanking, so I tend to take what they say with a pinch of salt, fingers crossed though.

Thanks for sharing this news. Comparing DmC to DMC4 won't reassure fans of DMC3 though.

I'm glad to hear of a playable demo - I assume this means we'll get to see it in action at E3, woo!

I've gotta agree with Meg.

Mind you, given the fans initial reception, Capcom will have to say pretty much anything to get it in the fans 'good books'.
Note to Capcom, we (the fans) will judge how good it is.

soooooooo..........

Capcom played the demo and said it is "unmistakeably Devil May Cry"?

That really does not reassure me at all that this game is going to be good considering it is the company who is saying that its a great Devil may cry game and not the fans.

Once a Demo is released to the fans and we get some feeback then maybe I will start to be a little less Skeptical but so far I still remain on edge about this new direction.

Also a more detailed Trailer regarding the story would be nice.

Maybe these Capcom guys aren't lying and perhaps DmC is indeed good as they say. Using DMC4 as a game play comparnsen (sorry spelled that wrong) is a good idea but I think they should've tested it alongside DMC3 because DMC4 has more Nero game play and DmC is about Dante so I would think they would compare DmC Dante's game play with DMC3's heavy based Dante game play. Just a thought, but I hope this game works out.

This sounds really promising. Thank you. ^^
Seth Killian has always been a reliable source when it comes to Capcom games' gameplay.
