C’mon, as if we didn’t already know Capcom were working on Devil May Cry 5. Pssh. Oh wait, they're not. They've commissioned the good folks over at Ninja Theory to work on the oddly-titled DmC: Devil May Cry.

Ninja Theory, the brand spanking new developers for the Devil May Cry series, have stated that DmC: Devil May Cry will serve as a “rebirth” for the franchise – which is fancy marketing speak for “Okay, we’re gonna try a new direction here and hopefully it’ll be even better than the last.” DmC: Devil May Cry will feature a much younger Dante this time around — perhaps the youngest we’ll have seen to date — and, apparently, this entry will be aimed more towards us westerners, despite being a joint venture between both western and eastern gaming software houses.

Capcom’s Hideaki Itsuno will serve as the supervising director, while Ninja Theory’s Alex Jones will be tasked with producing and whatnot.

A special thanks to Chaos Master whom was kind enough — and quick enough — to break the news in our community forums.
