Blame Canada! God, I used to like watching south park.
Oh I'm not from canada but I could be!

I'm not from Canada, but I think its a good country full of people that aren't American ***holes. :)

Why is it that americans hate canadians? I don't know the history.

I don't hate Canadians. :( BUT! I think the reason a lot of Americans do is because they got it in their heads that America is better and blah blah blah. Maybe because Canada and America are similar, but Canada doesn't scream about ow cool it is, so Americans just assume it sucks. Just guessing, but I think that might be it.

Oh, I'd heard once that it was because americans think canadians are weird and a little stupid, but I'd say your answer is probably close enough to the truth.

I'd love to go live in Canada - lemme in. Pretty please, with maple syrup all over?

Everyone I know who's visited Canada says Canadians are great people. Just friendly and laid back in general. A friend of mine told me he just came from a road trip through the U.S./Canada... said on the way into Canada the Canadian border control were all, like, "hi! welcome to Canada! 8D" and on the way back the American border police were all "the hell're you and what's your business in America? >:{0"

Though I suppose the reasons are (sort of) understandable.

^i have space on the couch xD

well, about the border, USA got more suspicious every years. so i can understand on that point.

also, some people here may know what happened between nouvelle-France and the 13 colonies; it may explain some weird stuff xD

I forgot about the french being part of canada. That's probably where it's been going wrong. :P

I'm American and I'm not an asshole. ;_;

I think Canadians are great folks. Always really nice and laid-back, like Meg said. Hell, three of my friends are originally from Canada!

Canada has the reputation for bring home to the nicest people. ^_^ And some great musical talent. I'd like to go some day.

Really? My parents live right by the border so we go over often and I find it's usually the opposite (although it wasn't always that way - but now I have a nexus so it's a different line I have to go in). The Americans are always super nice, whereas sometimes the Canadians are assholes. But maybe it's just because we're all Canadian, and our customs don't like it when Canadians go shopping and spend lots of money over the border especially with the way the dollar is right now.

Just what I heard, can't say anything myself as I've never been over the Pond. Well, almost over but not quite.
