Can someone explain somethng to me?

Vergil Is Motivated

Demon slayer
Firstly I'm going to start off by saying I'm not hating on Dmc but am I missing something or are ninja theory lost with the story because apparently they are saying now Dmc is a prequel but then theres that not in a million years reference so guessing by his age it must be after dmc3 and before dmc1 or am I missing something (Btw i dont hate the new look of dante just the personality) Also half angel and half demon? I think they should of done it like vergil should of got more inheritance of angel powers and dante got more of his dad demon powers.....

Well, yeah, it seems you missed the very fact that DmC is not part of the original story line, but its own (alternative)universe.
I guess what you are refering to was what was said about DmC at the very beginning, when it had just been announced, because back then they were refering to it as a prequel (although I'm not too sure anymore if that's something NT or Capcome really said themselves, or if it's just something that was misinterpreted by the media.). If you're reading more recent interviews, they're usually calling it an "origin story", but by that they don't mean that it's an orign story for the orginal Dante, but for their re-imagined version of him.

And about the angel-demon bit, it's just my personal opinion but I think if they'd done anything akin to "one of the brothers got more of one side", it should have been Dante with the more angelic powers, since it matches Vergil's more cool and slightly egocentric personality to have inherited more of his dad's demonic powers. But generally I think it's better the way it is, anyway.

ik what your saying but im talking about color & thanks for clearing that up

I agree with this.

This is why they made "Nero Angelo" (that's what the director of Vergil's Downfall officially called Vergil after he gets his doppelganger back) devil trigger look more Angelic while Dante's devil trigger looks more demonic.

However, you're right in the fact that they should've explained how Vergil was more "Angelic" in nature.

True, as far as color goes, it is more suiting for Vergil to have more angelic powers. Personally, I like the, uhm, how should I put this, the kind of 'irony' it creates, seeing as Vergil is pretty much the opposite of what most people think of when they hear "angel".

You've got a point there, though, a 'black angel' sorta sounds like a fallen angel to me, which would basically be a demon, I think?

True, true but I looked up what are black angels? and it came up dark angels which are fallen angels (corruption and stuff like that) so you could be right there but i still think vergil should be more angelic. But if not that they have to at least make an angel trigger which lets you fly like dmc 2 or something maybe heal faster

Well the color of Vergil's DT doesn't mean that he's more angelic. Not by any means - it's just a color associated with the character, like Dante and red :p

Yeah, but in this case, it makes sense because...

... because...

BECAUSE UR STUPID KTHXBAI

seriously though, it goes with the whole "high-and-mighty" attitude/god-complex that he has. I wouldn't be surprised if the angels acted the same way. demons only like to act brutally in charge, whereas angels are more... passive aggressive.
