i realize we don't know much about him, but what are your thoughts on bob barbas?

we know he's trying to ruin dante's reputation, but other than that there's alot of mystery shrouding bob.
do you guys think he is a demon in disguise?
do you think he's a minor/major character?
is he just a human misinformed by the demons?
any theories about him?
if you guys have anything you would like to discuss about him go ahead and do so.

i think that bob is a human thrall for the demons. as in he does whatever they want, ie try and get people to kill dante, in exchange for some false promises imortality, wealth etc.

i like that theory. if that were the case it would be using a familiar theme (old guys trying to gain demonic power) but doing it in a cool and refreshing way. perhaps bob is being promised demonic powers?

When I first saw the trailer I thought he was a demon in disguise, but I now think that would be a little too obvious. I think he's just a human but he's under the order of demons. He could possibly be like Arkham, and works with demons to become one! :O

He's just another remnant, if he was working for someone higher up than him and promised whatever he wanted in return for his services, he's definitely just another remnant...

at first i thought he was a demon in disguise as well, but now i kinda hope he is just a human. i think it would be cool for him to be a human associate of the demons and when dante confronts bob he beats the hell out of him. then maybe at some point in the game bob comes back with demonic powers and then beats the hell out of dante, before dante eventually prevails over him.

Not alot to say so far, but it looks like he's a demon in disguise. You can tell because (1) his name is the name of one of the 72 demons and (2) he has some grotesque features in his face, which is generally the sign of demonic takeover within a human body.

itd probably something more base. like a promise of power once demons rule or imortality. cuz demons are sooo well known for holding promises

I have a feeling that Bob Barbas is Mundus, since the guy that we suspect to be Vergil says that Mundus has no idea he exists and Bob has only been focusing on Dante.

i was kinda thinking he might be mundus too, mostly because of the rumor that that 4chan guy said mundus was some fat guy, and well bob is a fat guy lol
but i'm hoping bob is not mundus, unless bob's mundus form is epicly demonic and scary!
