Blood Brothers?

Perhaps someone could clear this up...

Vergil tells Dante in the demo that Mundus and Sparda were blood brothers.

You hear of people sharing blood (two people cutting themselves and sharing their blood with another person so they're linked more personally), or is Mundus actually an Uncle to the twins, or are they Brothers in arms or something different.

Sorry if this has been discussed before.
 
I think that all the demons are blood brothers in DmC, It doesn't mean that they're relative or something.
 
Could be any of those ideas. If the two were acutally brothers or like brothers but no blood, then they must have been close because Sparda was with Mundus during his rise to power, and that's why Mundus totally lost it when Sparda went with Eva. It was like ultimate betrayl to give up whatever they had for a woman, and an angel on top of that.
 
Yeah, I think they were so close that they were brothers all but in "blood", and tehn Sparda fell for an Angel, started working for the other sides...and Mundus flipped. he probably got a glimpse of what was going to happen if he didn't act; Sparda coming down and kicking all the demons' collective asses ala Classic Sparda.
 
Funny that, falling for someone (nearly) always breaks up friendships.
I don't see the point of calling them blood brothers if they were just brothers in arms.... i think there is a bit of a difference.

I wonder if this Sparda would? Sure he fell for an angel, but it could be a one-off change of heart. He could love Eva, but still not care about humans.
It seems like his biggest concern was keeping his new family safe and not getting involved in any fights that would draw attention to their location.
 
We do know from some information given that Sparda and Eva tried hiding as humans to avoid being found...but if the Angels were fighting to protect humans, it's possible Sparda either was starting to come around, or would have at some point for Eva.

Phineas said nephilim were a 3rd race. So deos that mean nephilim could exist without a demon and angel getting together?

And if nephilim only exist because of breeding between angels and demons, then before the angel demon war, they must have been angels and demons hooking up for the past nephilim to exist.

It may be possible nephilim were the entire reason the war started and it just never stopped. Phineas does mention that the Nephilim were a third race, born of Angel and Demon, and they could traverse worlds on a whim from the sounds of how he described their unique powers...that may offer a hint as to how a Nephilim can kill a Demon King like Mundus; go to a plane were he's most vulnerable.

On a side note, I hope this Mundus and Sparda 'blood brothers' does not start a load of weird 'rule 34' stuff....:steve: There's some stuff out there that just doesn't need to see the light of day, and I for one do not want to read about Mundus getting his freaky on. I've only just recovered from him and Lilith. :P

Well, at least with NT putting their own reule 34 in the game, we're safe from some of it. But, I'll still be hinding under my bed for any new rule 34 that might happen. >_<
