This is a thread for both DmC supporters and non-supporters as they post one trailer that they thought was best, and one trailer who's guts they hated.
For me it goes like this.
Best (Story wise):
- This is the Dante I know and love, kicking ass and making one liners, we got a taste of what we actually WANTED in a DMC game in this trailer. Dante did signature poses, over the top stunts, Austin Powers gags, all in one epic trailer that even I had to admit, was freaking awesome.
Worst (Story wise):
- This required careful consideration as whether or not to go with TGS 2010, but at that point, NT just didn't know better. However, you think they would know better than by 2012, in fact, they HAD SHOWN they knew better by 2012. But that didn't stop them from making a trailer that makes Vergil a good guy. That just hit much worse than TGS 2010. Vergil not only was a rich pretty boy, but he was a nice guy who wanted to save humanity. Now some argue that he was equally ruthless because he was willing to sacrifice Kat, but IT WAS FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY, that doesn't sound ruthless at all when you add his morals. Not to mention, this trailer hints at Dante having feelings for Kat, sorry Rebooted Lady, looks like your shippers won't equal out to the DanteXLady shippers for the original franchise, sorry people with common sense, looks like Dante has a love interest.
Best trailer( Gameplay wise):
While the Poison boss battle did make DmC, look like an average action game, and the constant "**** you's" were overwhelmingly stupid. The battle iteslf looked a lot like a classic hack and slash battle, like something from the ORIGINAL God of War, nothing too fancy, but a nice cinematic of ass whooping and a strategic edge, with a brutal spin on it . Compared to God of War 3, where Kratos just does the most physic defying things to inflict pain on his opponent, DmC actually looks like it is shaping up to have pretty nice cinematics. (Hey, atleast in DMC, Dante had the excuse of half demon physics, and new Dante has the excuse of Half Demon half angel physics)
