Chapter 1 - Prologue
Desmond and the rest of Assassins have arrived to a secluded place in New York. A big cave lied in front of their van as they left the van.
"Where the hell is this?" asked Desmond.
"New York, Desmond. It's in your country and yet you don't know where this is?" said Shaun sarcastically, another Assassin.
"No, wise-ass. Living in this country doesn't mean that I know where all the places are." replied Desmond.
"Enough. We got to look for the entrance of the vault now, guys." said Rebecca, a female Assassin.
An older man walked towards them. He put his right hand on Desmond's left shoulder.
"She's right, son. It is your destiny to open the vault. Only you have the power to do it." said William, Desmond's father.
"Dad... Why are you here?" asked Desmond.
"I am the main contact of the Assassins ever since that you escaped from Abstergo. I also serves as the leader of several teams of Assassins that are trying to find other Pieces of Eden."
"Hold on, Dad... You warned me not to go outside the perimeter of the camp... Is it because you know that I am Altair's and Ezio's descendant?"
William nodded.
"Yes." answered William.
"Why the hell you didn't tell me?" asked Desmond angrily.
"For your own protection. Although, I did not expect that you escaped from the Farm when you was sixteen. It was difficult to track you down, until Lucy contacted me."
Desmond forgotten about Lucy, and proceeded to ask his father about her.
"Lucy! She's... really dead?" asked Desmond.
"I'm sorry, son. If I came earlier, then this would have not happen." said William sadly.
"No..." said Desmond.
Desmond knelt down on the ground, couldn't believe what he has done to Lucy. Shaun and Rebecca put their hands on Desmond's shoulders.
"It's not your fault, Desmond. Who would have thought that bitch would use the Apple to control you to kill Lucy." said Rebecca.
"Yes, I agree. Both of us couldn't move that time, and we actually heard what Juno said to you." said Shaun.
"What? What did she said?" said Desmond.
"Something about the sixth, the path or something. It must have been something big, but I still don't get it why Lucy should be killed. That still confounds me till this very day." said Shaun.
Desmond stood up, and looked at his father.
"Did you know about this, dad?" asked Desmond.
"No, Desmond. Now is not the time to talk about this. We need to find the vault's entrance." said Desmond urgently.
Desmond nodded, and Rebecca took something out from the van.
"Here. It is another Hidden Blade." said Rebecca.
Desmond took it, and equipped it on his right hand.
"Hey, where did you get this?" asked Desmond.
"It was your Lucy's." replied Rebecca.
Desmond frowned sadly.
"Oh..." said Desmond.
William stood in front of Desmond.
"Desmond, it is not your fault. What's done is done. Consider this weapon as her final wish to get rid of the Templars." encouraged William.
Desmond looked up.
"All right. It is time to end this. Let's go." said Desmond.
Desmond went to the Vault with Shaun, while William and Rebecca stayed near the van to lookout for any suspicious individuals.
