Article I read about DmC

Stylish Nero

We Dem Boys!!
I was at a store in Philadelphia waiting for a train so I killed some time by reading a Playstation magazine that had DmC on the cover (that badass one that has Dante & Vergil on the cover)....there was another magazine with Metal Gear Rising on it.....but it was encased with plastic so I couldn't read it...but I did read the 10 page DmC article what I know is that I was basically spoiled of all of mission 1-10....maybe not so much mission 8-10....unless if IGN is wrong and the devil club isn't mission 13.

I'm listing what was considered new to me.

Okay what I got is:

The first half of the game (missions 1-10 took them about 6 hours) so the full game is 10+ hours.
Finding secret missions is considered easier than past DMC games (due to them being obvious as hell) but more fun and creative due to the key and door system
The secret missions are relatively easier (this could be bad news to some who cares about every detail)
Dante's old home where he gets Arbiter is called Paradise......Divine Comedy reference.
You get Eryx from Poison (of course) & Aguila from Bob (some should know that)
You get all 8 weapons by(or before) mission 10....mixed with how that guy from NT said there will be more weapons meaning there could be more weapons outside the 8 known so far.
Some funky and odd concept design
No backtracking and a new area every mission (out of those 10 missions)
I don't think the club scene was mention so it wasn't part of those 10 missions.
Also I missed to mention (so edit) that due to upgrading weapons that each weapons have between 8-18 moves per weapon.....probably not counting the guns....but its possible the form changing gun Pandor..errr I mean Kablooey (WTF NT) can have about 9 moves....I mean Pandora did)

So to put into terms

Mission 1: The Pier & Hunter Boss Fight (Starts with Rebellion & E&I)
Mission 2: Home Truths (???) (Obtains Ophion, Osiris, & Arbiter)
Mission 3:Bloodline (???) (Obtains Devil Trigger.......maybe???)
Mission 4: ???
Mission 5: Under Watch
Mission 6: Virility Factory & Poison (Obtains Eryx)
Mission 7: Overturn & Bob Barbas Boss Fight (Obtains Aguila)
Mission 8: ???
Mission 9: ???
Mission 10: ???

I don't know I'm just spit balling there.

There is a lot of story content in this game, we already saw so much and it was all from the 10 first missions only...

Yeah I forgot to mention in the article that they said that after upgrading each weapon they found that each weapon has between 8-18 moves. (DMC1 had a small list of moves per weapon, DMC2 was confusing, & DMC3 & DMC4 had between 10-15 moves per weapon so its possibly more for some weapons in DmC).

I'll add that to the intro but what I think is that Demon Weapons have about 10 max moves while Rebellion and the Angel weapons have up to 17...maybe 18.

They said that you get the DT in half way through the game (mission 9 i think). ALSO OMG YES. THERE BETTER BE 18 POSSIBLE MOVES MAN.

Hmmm? Based on what I read all the weapons have 10 moves or less (Arbiter has 6) most of the upgrades are increases to the power of the moves rather than new moves. I saw a screen showing the upgrade list and thats how it appeared, though perhaps that was mistaken.......I hope it was....can anyone find a link to what he is talking of?

Depending on the when you saw that upgrade screen, it coulda been an older build, or a demonstration build, that doesn't have everything there. Heck, even our public demo shows us only a handful of moves when there are way more that we can do in the game that aren't listed >.<

We've only seen half of the game man (plus part of mission 13). There's so many things missing in the demo.

-Move list is actually very incomplete from what you can actually do (charge shot, all charge moves I believe, rainstorm, r. rainstrom, all forward>forward moves)
-The enemy layouts are completely different. It's been confirmed but we actually got two hints of this before: early trailers, a distinctive Frost Knight war cry on a Stygian and the church scene pause.
-Secret Missions are also different. It's probably because the keys you need are not the ones you actually acquire in that point.

Yes the only upgrades officially seen are just +damage and +range, but from the look of the list there appears to be more to be unlocked.

Seriously if there is more than just 10+ moves per weapon I'm a happy camper.

In fact, we have seen most of the stuff from the first 10 missions and some little parts of other ones.

The first 10 missions:

1) Carnival stage

2) Home Truths

3) Bloodlines

4) Underwatch

5) Virility Factory

6) Tunnel mission + Poison ( Succubus) fight

7) Overturn

8) Bad news ( similar to Overturn, but it also has Bob barbas as a boss)

9) Subway mission- one part was already shown, with Dante dodging ghost trains and fighting enemies on a dome...

10) I guess it's a second mission featuring elements from the earlier one.

We've see parts of Devil's Dalliance ( they say it's mission 13). We've seen a little part of another mission on TGS trailer ( Dante following a car on the road). We've seen a flash of a giant boss during Vergil's reveal trailer ( I believe that's Mundus on his real form). So, that would be another mission. Another part is Dante facing flying enemies, with the sky completely yellow ( I guess Mundus opened the demon world, eventually). That giant building is probably another mission. There is a clip showing Dante against a chainsaw dude ( giant one), so maybe it's another stage...

So, we basically know enough stuff about at least 15 or 16 missions. If there are really 21 missions, then it's more than enough, lol.
