Are these something to do with the DmC art book on the way? I've also seen quite a few of these as unloackable art in the game.

I play it anyway, but now Chicks are involved
Japanese game promotion.:shifty: You do know you can't take those chicks home with you after the event:P Thy're there to trap you into playing with their cuteness. A shame none of them actually look like Kat. At least Kat's actor, Sage did a really cool cosplay of her. ^_^

I would if there was a guy who looked exactly like Dante....they really should have asked Tim Phillips to cosplayDante for promotion events. That would have been so cool. ^_^

I'm really loving the Previous Dante memorial/ statues and of Lady. I would be an awesome easter egg to have statues of Previous Dantes and Lady and even Trish. Or have a statue with Classic Dante and Classic Vergil.

Vergil... with a slick new sword (similar to a machete/Chinese dao broadsword, but it's a different type altogether) and smoking??

The 2010 version of DmC would have been sick.

Goddamn antis.

Goddamn you all. -_-

Seriously... I'm just -- really disappointed in the community right now. They took something from me (and everyone else who would have wanted this).

Something that could have been really special. :/

I don't even care if I get banned for this post. I'm too ****ing ****ed to give a damn about any of this anymore.

Edit:

That one for Dante with the Three different versions is some raw ****! I wish the used the one to the far right!

I still say that's Vergil... sure, the small picture on the left says it was concept art for Dante, but it has too much of a Vergil vibe to it for me to ignore (brushed back hair, holding sword blade "down", and so on).

That, and I think that hooded figure may have also not have been Dante, either... it's most likely concept art for someone else.

Nero perhaps?

Looks like we'll never know now, though. -_-

If that was Vergil he would have been one scary ass mo fo! I would have liked it! Ugh I really wouldn't want to work for Capcom though. I just feel ninja theory got screwed and they're getting all the blame for doing what they were told. I remember reading that they showed concept art that was close to the original Dante and Capcom said no it's too similar. Then I read something where they took a complete 180 creating a darker vibe and Capcom said no, that's too dark. I think I would have preferred the darker version (after all it is a reboot anyway). I do love what they did with the game but in some places it almost feels too clean. I think Vergil is hot as **** but he seriously looks like he is dressed for an OkCupid love profile.

Amen to that.

Indeed, Vergil would have been much more intimidating than he is now. He's scary, but only at the very end when you see him in his rage mode.

You can tell they "cleaned up" in certain places as well. Ideas that were once started only to be "scrapped" later on. You were definitely right about that part.

I can only image the vision that they originally had for Dante now. I'm angry at NT because they didn't stick to their guns. And at Capcom for making them change so many things while making this game.

The result was good, but the original version could have had so much more bite to it.

Who knows? They might have originally wanted to have kept lock-on (remember, it was Itsuno, and not NT who wanted no lock-on to begin with).

I agree that Vergil's fashion sense is very "WTF ARE YOU WEARING!?" i mean I'd rather him wear that reddish undershirt in public than his over the top dress coat. Though you got to admit his hat was pretty B*tching. Wish they had skins for Vergil... and named one "Normal person look".

I actually didn't know that itsuno didn't want lock on, thank you for that information! I actually got used to the no lock on now so it's not really a big deal to me anyway.

I would have loved to just wear Vergil's regular shirt in downfall. I think if they wanted to keep Vergil looking classy without looking ridiculous than they should have cut off the tail on his coat just making it a regular pea coat (those look nice). They should have also left of the embroidery, got rid of the powder blue gloves and changed his bright blue pants to black. I'm still on the fence about the hat.

I agree with the pants and cloves and tail. Heck just give him a stylish blazer or something. You know whats hot? Casual Classy. Make the pants a dark navy blue, keep the black turtle neck ( and the hat), loose the gloves give him maybe a vest or something (and if they really want to keep the embroidery then fine). And if he really really needs a jacket for those cold nights just give him a regular black trench coat.

I can agree with that.....without the embroidery >.< ugh that was probably the second most hated thing about his outfit right after his gloves for me lol.

Well, when it all goes together, it makes sense because he's more or less an "eccentric" billionaire.

So, this is probably one of many weird suits he has... it was probably only after looking at Dante's trench coat did he have his own jacket made to "match" with his brother's (he knew of Dante's existence before meeting him, you know).

I know, it's fan-fiction speculation, but I'd rather have this explanation than, "just because".

Oh, and the powder-blue gloves are latex medical gloves. There was a pic of him taking them off (they stretched when being taken off) in the concept art.

Apparently, he isn't above torturing demons. :ermm:

It's only fair, however. After everything demons have done, after all...
