Anyone notice the texture in Bloody Palace?

Bazilican

Beer and big tits all around! XD
Did anyone else notice the texture improvement in Bloody Palace for bosses compared to the actual boss battles in the missions? Me being a texture and color freak for games, I notice this right quick.

To be honest, I think the textures have noticeably lower resolution in bloody palace, the difference in visuals is quite noticeable if you switch from main game to bloody palace, at least on PC anyway. The post processing that looks spectacular 99% of the time in the main game seems weirdly lacking in Bloody Palace, maybe because it's repackaged assets and to keep file sizes small they didn't add the hi resolution textures for pc users that were in the original pc version of the game.

Well I mean if you look at Vergil's battle, you'd notice that the sun is really shining when he goes into his super form. Or you can really see the lighting in Dante's face in the bob barbas fight.

Oh yes, good point. I think the over saturation is on purpose on Vergil for sure, it's to increase the difficulty, at some point, you can't even see his summoned swords or his doppelganger when you fight him in Bloody Palace. Damn that fight, it's easy enough to win, but not getting hit when it goes all visually crazy like that is hard. It was the only thing in one of my videos where I had gotten no damage up to that point. After that, I was like screw it.

As for Bob's face, I'll actually check that out, you may be right about that. I guess most of my impression is from the first 20 or so floors of bloody palace, that environment just feels washed out and drab when compared to similar environments, and I guess it makes everything including Succubus look visually flat in comparison to her encounter in the main campaign.
