Analysis on Gamescom 2012 trailer

Don't Let the Fall of America be Your Fall

Okay guys, I Dragonmaster, will look at the trailer in analysis.

Side note:

VERGIL'S IN THE GAME!!!:D I'm SO excited! Though he seems... pompous

ahem, anyway let's continue.

In the beginning, we have Kat explaining to Dante about the demons, but we also see this tower with red lights at the top. This is possibly Mundus's hideout. From there we see Kat opening the way to the order. Like the whole secret code thing so that's cool. Finally we see Vergil for the first time. It seems Dante remembers Vergil all to well as being his brother . Dante holds a picture of their family and it looks like Eva's hair is a darker color in this one. In that pic, Vergil still has white hair while Dante's is black. So I guess that Eva's hair is black too.

Vergil looks exactly like Dante but dressed richer and with blondishh white hair. Good to also see Vergil has his katana again, but it's unknown if this really is Yamato or not. (I think it is) So now Dante's riding in a car with Kat and I gotta say, she looks kinda hot without her hood on.

So now we go back to the virility factory where Dante leeps and Kat uses some gravity inhancer thing that probably can slightly control the Malice for a bit. So then We see a new area that looks like something out of the 2012 movie as cars burst around and the streets are torn up.

We finally see a new weapon that works like the Ifrit. I'm glad that they did the DMC1 ifrit feel instead of the Beowolf and Gilgimesh things. It looks like Vergil also knows a trick or two in magic as the two brothers are in a circle that glows violently.

Then there's the city being sucked into something and it looks like the End of the world. Then I see something I was afraid to see...Kat getting hurt.:mad: (These demons will be killed sadistically and twistedly by me when I get this!)

So Dante and Vergil have an argument and don't see eye to eye in trying to get Kat back. Dante insist they go get her, I think there's more to this scene, but it's not shown. Finally Vergil caves in and the two go through a tunnel of darkness. This might just be the final battle.

And the last scene is that giant hand slamming into the building, and that might be Mundus too.

So what I got from this trailer;

Pros
-Graphics look awesome

-Vergil's back, and is a bit more brotherly.

-Kat looks good without a hoodie.:blush:

-Vergil has a katana again. (Still don't know if it's Yamato.)

-We got Ifrit style punching weapons!

Cons
-Vergil seems less deadly. He doesn't seem like he can even kill a demon without getting scared. But hey, never judge a book by its cover.

-No info on the shotgun yet.

-Kat getting hurt!:mad: (Those demons are so F*cked when I get my hands on this game!)

That's what I see.^_^
 
Seems the final battle is like the mission 19 in DMC 3 if Vergil and dante would team up, only probably their opponent is mundus(Mundus human form looks like arkham by the way).

Yeah, forgot to say that it's a good analysis on your part.I lol'd at your reaction for kat getting hurt.
 
I actually think Vergil looks pretty badass aand his sideburns are not white or maybe it's just my eyes:lol:
 
i think vergils costume is a clever take on the original. tho i must admit i think the blue marks are a little silly but only a little. :D btw did anyone see dante punshing up those demons. i think we may have just seen another demon weapon :D

one thing i wanna know. what were dante and vergil doing when they crouched down in that magical circle thing?

Yeah, when Dante and Vergil crouched there, what were they doing? Vergil clearly waited Dante to be by his side before "activating" (like, the lights got stronger) the magical ring. Was it for protection or was is an attack that would engulf the whole area around the circle? Anyway, that scene looked impressive. :)
 
Someone just told me Vergil looks like Chris Redfield of RE5 in some shots and now I can't unsee.

I've known a few twins in my time and I don't think any of them had different color hair. Then again, I'm no expert on the subject.

Still, Vergil reminds me of David from Prometeus. Robotic, yet gentlemenly to the point of stiff, and shaddy.

Oh yea I know I saw that. But im thinking they are trying to keep with the fact that Vergil finds out about his half demon (and half angel in this case) heritage first so his hair turns before Dante's. But even Dante's hair has a white patch in it now, so itll eventually go all white. Im guessing the more they use their powers, the more thier hair changes....or something like that

I'm not sure about that this time but expect to see ''the kid'' as a part of Vergil's ''The Order''..
And the kid should be ''Nero''.
