Am I the only one suprised 4chan didn't get involved

When this game was first announced it was a complete flame war, people would use interviews, trailers, and just plain nonsense, to defend or attack it. Such is still going on now with this game only it is toned down. But my question is, is if this flame war was such a troll paradise, how come we saw so few trolls getting involved. It was an all out flame war with no trolls involved, no flamebaiting, no intentionally invalid points being passed off as valid. Yet it was still troll heaven just because of how big a flame war it is.
Further evidence shows 4chan would get involved in this, would be the fact that 4chan loves invalid information, usually changing a Wikipedia page to start a flame war or make one bigger
(E.g. Then at E3 2011, to send a warning to skeptics, Capcom released a video of new Dante beating the tar out of old Dante)
So why do you think 4chan didn't get involved in such a huge flame war? It just doesn't seem like them to miss out on one so big, I would've normally expected them to jump on it the second it happened.
With every bit of news causing an argument it really seems like they would get involved somehow.

I been sometimes on huge knowed 4chan, I know this forum and seen topics on new DMC, but these rages on that forum maded me lagugh instead arguing, so I only going there for laughs.I really like more athmosphere on this forum than 4chan

It's a message board site. Almost exactly like 2chan in Japan.
Lots of trolls there, and a great deal of what they do is annoying or abusive.

They're funny sometimes though.

That's really all it is. I bashed 4chan once, though, and it was immediately defended by a whole boatload of people who probably don't know better... I don't like the site and find it as little more than a place for vermin to hole up. That's not to say that everyone who goes there is vermin, though. I'd never mean to say something that broad and try to get away with it.

Anyway, on topic... I'm very glad 4chan didn't get involved. Surprised they didn't? Yes, absolutely. Glad they didn't? Even more absolutely than absolute zero itself... 4chan is a hornet's nest waiting to have a brick tossed at it so they can have a jolly good time stinging the crap out of whatever threw it. However, just like hornets, they're rarely deadly and don't often have that high of an influence on things in real life. So even if they had gotten involved, it probably would've been by something stupid, like making crudely photoshopped pictures of new Dante with genitalia for a face or something.
