My favourite move in DmC is Showdown because of how cool the normal JC looks, but there's also a side effect of the groundbounce which gives it a unique jump cancel, demonstrated here

The trick here is that you're using enemy step to cancel out the recovery frames of Showdown, instead of using enemy step to cut the animation of the move in like you would normally do with a JC. This allows you to use the move more frequently without the sudden animation cuts.

The main advantage of this technique is that you're dealing damage with the initial hit and the groundbounce, which makes it much more effective than the standard JC. Unfortunately, this only works reliably on Rages, Ravagers and the Dreamrunners because of their larger hitbox.
 
You've never heard of that glitch? It's been around since the demo.

I've seen it in both the demo and the actual game, it's just that I thought he was stuck that way once he started flying. It was almost like watching a sequence break in a metroidvania game.
