Abyss attack?

On the cover to the original DMC3 it said vergil rules the demons in hell and sided with them but in SE he's attacked by a multitude of Abyss demons.

WTF is that all about?

Yeah and not only that, but the Hell Vanguard did not look as friendly either. Probably that is a mistake on Capcom's part. If you think about it, they say that Dante became the greatest Devil Hunter etc. which is also a lie because in DMC3 he's is not one until the very end.

Good game, faulty plot.

Unfortunately.

But let's face it, who plays DMC for the story.

Of course some plot is needed or it would be entirely hollow gameplay.

True even the missions have items only to make you change locations and engage more enemies

Gameplay=

Kill demons, kill more demons, pick up key item to another room to (guess what) kill more demons.


Still though, it's so well presented that we'll let it off.

But let's face it, who plays DMC for the story.

I do, and countless people I know. At most times thats the best part.

As for Vergil, since we're on this subject...Does anyone else notice how all the vangard walks right by Arkham and goes strait to Vergil? And in Vergil's prolougue the abysses didn't attack Arkham there either.

I also love the cut-scenes and how the story goes but let us face it that the plot is not all that twisted

The story in itself is adequate but there are too many faults in the plot to call it strong.

I hate those things their annoying. With their special burrowing tricks and there orange blast from their syths. Their worst than the Greed enemies, their easy to defeat them but it's when they slam those things that they carry all the time.
