I like DMC 2 for the ideas that it had to offer. It’s nowhere near as good as the other games in the title. I honestly at times don’t see why there isn’t more hate for it than the sort of hate that DMC 4 gets for the backtracking or DmC gets for it simply not being DMC Dante. Yeah, overall it’s a pretty poor addition to the franchise but it has its own good merits in ways.
Dante’s design for a start is regarded as one of his most/more popular designs in the series and I thought the running up walls and other cool tricks were pretty neat. Also Lucia was a welcoming new character to the games and I liked the idea of the Devil Hearts. The Despair Embodied was a good idea, too.
