I don't know of any way to block channels. But when something you don't want to see shows up in the recommended feed you can click on not interested > tell us why > I'm not interested in this channel.
It doesn't work right away but they might get the point after telling them a couple times.
you can try to block stuff via video blocker, but that also doesn't work with all cases, you could look for another browser plug in to help you with that perhaps.
