I don't think people were upset cause it was a reboot, from what I recall. The SOT series legitimately ended, it wasn't just interrupted for the sake of starting anew. It wasn't like DmC's case.

@Foxtrot94 In regards to the comment that POP was sucking up too much money to make, doesn't the Assassin's Creed series suck up more? With better writers, it could've been a good revival.

Wow. People used alt accounts and bots to give multiple bad Star Wars reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and lower its user score, LMAO.

@DDutchguy J J Abrahms' films tend to have that effect (Star Trek '09 being a perfect example). He stirs up enough nostalgia to postpone people catching onto the films' flaws. That must mean that Ep. 8 was so divisive that even the nostalgia callbacks didn't delay any negative responses to recreate the same effect.

Honestly I don't know what to make of it. The film seems to have divided the fanbase as much as TFA did (Though I have read some comments saying they hated TFA but love TLJ, and vice versa). There is a Facebook page of someone claiming responsibility for the score being as low as it is, he's clearly a troll....but I honestly can't tell if he's lying or not....

@AgentRedgrave A brief visit to one of the oldest SW message boards, Jedi Council Forums, yielded reactions from fans that have kept with this series since 1980's, that loved TFA, renouncing the franchise entirely and vowing never to watch a single movie, new or previously released. They hate TLJ so much, it's tainted their enjoyment of the entire series.
The one thing I hate about Xmas lately is constant Star Wars ads and banners EVERY-EFFING-WHERE.

And considering the characters at the heart of the advertising--Queen of Nostril Flaring and Darth Emo--I can't honestly blame you.

Even if it was The Empire Strikes Back with Bowl Hair and Bucket Helmet, would still be the same. It's just the omnipresence of it.

Definitely. The last Star Wars movie I remember seeing the marketing for was Revenge of the Sith, and that came out in May, so you wouldn't be shopping like you'd be during the holiday season, w/ ads and banners drowning you to death.
Apparently for some people all it takes to be a "DMC clone" is to just be a Hack and Slash.
So basically you Americans are all screwed when it comes to internet now? Am I reading the news right?

Also, many state lawmakers are really, really against repealing net neutrality (presumably because they don't want to have to pay for every site they go on any more than regular people do) and have been speaking about putting blocks in place in case the bill somehow makes it through Congress and the courts...which used to be unlikely, because it's a violation of human rights.

But with the current tyrant in office, who knows. In short, it's a mess.

Wait, so that guy in John Wick 2 was a rapper? Damn his acting was good, I could legit buy him as a badass assassin.

You mean Common? Yeah he was a great rapper back in the day. He was even in Suicide Squad too as the dude Joker shot at a club.
I hope those rumors about Hugh Jackman coming back as Wolverine for Avengers 4 are wrong af.

I don't think he would, he always said Logan would be his last stop.
On top of that, the man ain't getting younger, if there is a Wolverine, I'd rather have Jimmy Hudson (Ultimate Universe Wolverine), that way it's another character and people wouldn't scream as much over an actor change

I've read he did say he would consider coming back only if it was with the Avengers. I guess he said that when the chances of it happening seemed pretty much non existent.
If Achilles vs Hector happened in modern times, would Achilles teabag him instead of dragging him with the chariot as a form of disrespect?
Rewatched The Avengers, just for the heck of it. Forgot how awesome that end credit sequence is.
GOG revived the old Star Wars Battlefront game and now they're thinking of doing the same for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. HELL YES.

GOG have been doing well with things like this recently, they have just enabled cloud saves for some classic games too.
Home Alone on TV tonight... A bit early if you ask me.

We don't have Thanksgiving over here, so the second Halloween is over it's immediately moving onto Christmas.
Wandering around on YouTube, I'm surprised to see how many people actually like the Van Helsing movie version of the werewolf.

Tbf, the movie's pretty campy, so I guess it kinda fits that they'd go a little over the top? But, yeah, there needs to be a lot more werewolf movies.

Yeah you gotta go into the sea of less known movies to find good ones. I especially liked Dog Soldiers.

^Props to anyone else who even knows about Dog Soldiers.
Found footage movies are evil incarnate. May they all burn in a giant fire.
