It actually is, DC aquired the rights to quite a few Game adaptions (DMC being one of those, they never did anything with them though)
DC Published a few books for the first game, not sure if the comic for the 2nd was one of theirs as well. It's just a side story, pretty much without Mercer, but about some civilians during the outbreak.
