It was in R's parents' place, I didn't get far into, then someone spoiled the major plot points which I knew would be a ways in. So I attempted the show. Maybe the show was just bad.

9 times out of 10, the show or movie is dreadful in comparison. Or if not dreadful, it leaves out or changes a lot of the content. :P Never watch "The Dark Half". The book was awesome...the movie was ****.
