Sweet, I'll check some of her work out. And no problem; there's really not much to watch on my DA, lol. All the writing I upload there, I upload on to FF.Net as well.

It's been for ever since I looked at FF.net, I'd rather read anything on DA because of FF.net's 'maturity filters' (was that a thing a while back? I left FF.net because they were going to ditch a lot of writer's work on there that would have been in breach of some kiddie-friendly ToS, don't know if they ever did or if they changed the rules on that).

If they ever did it, I couldn't tell you. I've been on there since 2004, but I've gone through bouts of inactivity. If they ever purged, they must have given up. I think as long as people rate their stories appropriately, they're in the clear. If anything, FF.Net has become a bit lax.

So they allow NC-17 rated writing on FF.net? Sure I remember a huge thing around 2005-2006 and a bunch of writers migrating because their work was about to be deleted without notice (well, just for sex; violence is always cool). Maybe it was just a threat and nothing ever came of it. I didn't go back due to that whole deal; can't stand censorship, but censorship of writing seems especially stupid.

They have M (16+) and MA (18+) which I'm guessing is the equivalent of NC-17. Lol, most of FF.Net is sex, sex, and more sex. Most of which comes in the form of slash (which by itself doesn't bother me, except for two reasons; one, it feels like most people are doing it because "everyone else is doing it" and two-well, the incest factor in regards to certain fandoms. Otherwise, it wouldn't bother me, at all).

In short, I think they've eased up on the censorship, provided people rate their stuff accordingly. I've only written a one-shot with sex in it...it makes me cringe, lol. >.<

I'm glad they nipped that idea in the bud. It's not like books in book stores come with age-ratings...

Incest? Like in DMC fandom, maybe? dayum, that's one of my faves xD I don't see an issue with it in fandom, since it's just made up stuff about characters who aren't real. I could understand it if someone was writing say, incest stories about someone currently living.

Not sure why everyone's so hung up on sex =p maybe it's because it's one of those things~ if it doesn't personally click for you, it's probably gonna be ew. Lulz.

I meant to say, good that they allow all kinds of work at FF.net as long as rated. The old plan was to remove anything with adult themes in it because either wanted to avoid prosecution or they wanted to make the site "all ages". Glad they went with a more grown up approach to the problem with filters.

Too true; they come with suggested ratings, but I've been able to buy books with sexual themes before I was the "appropriate" age before. With games, you'd have to have an adult buy the M rated ones-or at least it was like that when I was a teen. XD

Lol, whatever floats your boat; even if they're just fictional characters, it just doesn't click for me. But meh, I just avoid them.

Yeah, I hear ya; I've had to revise my replies so many times because of that. I got what you meant, luckily. It's just a way of letting people know there might be content they don't like in it, so they can avoid it, if they want. That, and to silence some of the over-protective parents, while making sure writers rated their work properly.

Depends if there's a reason I can believe whether the incest is realistic or just gratuitous. Within DMC it's possible, you got two orphans who are demons, and all that entails. Or certain other fandoms where the reason makes sense. If it's just whoa hey, let's just ship these two because RELATION I'm like, wut, lol.

Maybe I'll ask the staff about the char limit. 400 is not enough when you're trying to explain yourself. xD

I think I get what you mean. I still can't do it, though. ^^; It's just not my thing. I'm not judging, though. Diversity is a good thing; if we were all the same, what fun would that be? Lol, it really isn't. Luckily there doesn't seem to be a limit on forum posts, or conversations.
