Because I know I'll never see a DmC2, and thus I'll never have a Devil May Cry that will be made in order with actual structure and proper character progression with a more in-line story. So at this point DMC5 can be a DMC4 poser for all I care. If it really will be that, then that's just the second Devil May Cry game I'll be skipping. (The first being DMC4)
