Team Fortress 2 is Free to play and is a quality FPS, if you don't mind those games afterall. Heck you could probably download TF2 and it might let you add people. As for games; XCOM Enemy Unknown is a great tactical grid based strategy game and if you like Final Fantasy VII, it's current £9.99. Audiosurf is 75% off and that's a fun little rhythm game.
