What game? :O
DreadnoughtDT
DreadnoughtDT
Splatterhouse. I talked about it a little bit before, and it's an awesome game... It got 4.5's and 4's because Namco didn't pay to get good reviews though. >.>

I hope you know that's not how reviewing works. D:

I know that's not how reviewing works, but Gamespot and IGN are known for giving low scores to games that don't pay for adspace.
Meg

Any sources to back that up? Now, I dislike IGN, so I'm not doubting you I'm just curious. :O

I don't have any sources on hand, unfortunately...

But Gamespot gave God Hand a 3/10, if that's any indication that they are predisposed to only give good scores to games that sell well.

I never played God Hand. :/
And just because a beloved game isn't loved by someone doesn't make them biased. Kinda like how some people don't like Bioshock or how I don't like Shadow of the Colossus.

It just seems that reviewers ask a lot of questions to themselves when reviewing something.

Is it an FPS? No? Bad mark.

Is it remotely similar to anything else in the genre? Yes? Bad mark for unoriginality. But if it's original, we mark it down anyway.

Has it been hyped up considerably? No? 1000 bad marks.

I think YOU are the one that's being unfair. Some people are more harsh with their reviews than others. Just because they like a game you don't or hate a game you like doesn't make them wrong. If you want bias-free good strong reviews go to GamesRadar.

Thanks. I just think Gamespot and IGN are always being biased with their reviews. It's just those two, they give good scores to mainstream games and give bad scores to obscure ones.

GamesRadar, Eurogamer, and Xbox Magazine are the review sources that I actually consider unbiased and viable.

GamesRadar FTW!!! I like Game Informer a lot to. ^^

DreadnoughtDT
Yeah, Game Informer definitely knows how to give bias-free reviews.
