I love you as a friend too! <3 =) But the reason I'm sad though is that my close friend's grandmother passed away today...

<3 =) Oh I'm really sorry to hear that =( I remember what it was like when my own grandmother passed away. I just didn't know how to take the news. Keep your spirits up though. I know right now you'll feel bad, but we can't let the bad things that happen ruin our lives. No matter how terrible they are. I'm here for you as a friend if you ever need me .

Yeah, I appreciate it Ryan. =)

I know, but it just sucks that I can't say anything but I'm sorry...which I'm sure he will hear a lot of for awhile. Hell, we don't live in the same country but it still hurts the same. >_<

I know how you feel. I cry when I hear that anyone has passed away most times. It just saddens me greatly to see anyone at a loss, so I do genuinely feel for you. I know it sucks. Not that it's the same thing, but when my girlfriend's cat died I didn't really know what to say or do to make her feel better. I guess there just aren't any words really.

Just let them know that even if there isn't anything that you can say or do to make them feel better, you do care about how they feel considering the circumstances. They'll appreciate it a lot afterwards, even if it may not seem that way at the time.

Yeah, I am here for him...we are fairly close but at times like these I wish I was really there for him when he needs it the most, not just a text. :/ I guess that' what is hurting me the most right now, I know I can't say anything, at times like this, silence is the best thing but being there just for comfort is important...

Though you may think a text might be too small or too insignificant at this bad time, it's much better comfort than nothing at all. At least he knows that you care about the situation and his feelings.

And no matter if it means you aren't there for him to comfort him in person, he still won't feel so alone with things. You're helping more than you think or more than you're giving yourself credit for. You're a good friend, I'm sure he knows and appreciates that.

Thanks LoD, that means a lot to me. *hugs*

Yeah, we are good friends...we want to meet someday. My poems are based around him, actually.
