We'll just have to see what they come up with. Neo didn't die, everyone knows that, so it would be cool for me if they brought him back. But then, maybe he has had his time, I don't know lol
Well to be honest, I don't know for definite, but it seems that way. And if not technically alive, able to come back from the dead. Dead until resurrected. The Matrix also harbours its storyline from The Bible. The mentioning of returning to Zion. The One's second coming. Neo was The One Reborn. Whether he returns looking the same, we won't know. My guess is probably not, but I want Keanu again.
i'm thinking that the architect can just make a new neo.
that would more intereting for me to see a new neo in a post neo world.
it would be really cool to see neo come back as a regular joe to train his successor .
The Matrix Reboots itself I'm guessing when something happens inside it that fulfils a certain purpose. As before Neo, Zion was apparently saved by previous others. Neo only saved it again, through sacrificing himself, though to come back again and restore peace once again. I'm assuming the story is on some sort of never ending loop, confusing as it sounds.
i would like them to continue on with what they did in the matrix online mmo where it takes place after the machines and humans have brokered a peace and neo isnt a legend any more and the rules are changing. lets see em deal wirth the change.
I sense you don't like the character's storyline so much. Personally Neo is the only reason I enjoy The Matrix. The thought that he controls it as he sees fit, deems him as a God as such. Then there are other laws that rule him out of being a God. Like when he faces the Train Man. In that scenario, The Train Man was God. The Architect is like a God.
And Agent Smith manipulated The Matrix as he saw fit, creating tons of clones of himself. Making himself into something of a God. But Neo was a God in his own rights.
its not that i dont like his storyline, i just feel that he was given an end to his storyline the same way solid snake was. Even thought i dont hate solid snake i wouldn't want them too do another game with him set after mgs4 because i felt that they aren't challenging themselves as writers. I dont want them to repeat the same old tricks and i would want them to take the series forward rather than repeat the past.
Yeah you're right. Only problem is, when should it be set? Past or future? Before Neo or after Neo? I have an idea of which, but I'd like to hear your opinion first.
im leaning towards future because this its more interesting to me to see people deal with what comes next.
but i'm not ruling out neos from the past i would just rather see past neos be fleshed out in video game format because of lack of budget concerns.
whats your view?
Yeah I was leaning more towards future myself. For the same reason as you. Well here's my thought. I was thinking that it might be cool if they sort of made the fourth one a prequel, set before the first Matrix film. But then made the fifth one set right after the last Matrix film. Kind of go back and forth, tie up all the loose ends and then finish it. What do you think?
