I'm re-watching my absolute favourite drama of all time: "Kids on the Slope". An anime about disenfranchised kids living in post-WWII Japan who come together through their love of Jazz music. Directed by the same man who did the legendary "Cowboy Bebop" anime and the soundtrack is written by the wonderful Yoko Kanno, also returning from Bebop. Definitely recommend for anyone who likes a heart-warming drama.

Just the OP alone is so amazing.
Or Jazz lovers in general.

Anyway, I'm about to watch The Thing and after that, if there's time, The Thing... This is why you don't name your thing the same thing as your sequel/prequel/remake to that thing your thing is based on (no pun intended... kinda), makes it confusing.

Master of none season 2

just started episode 5

Sabine's VA popped up in episode 4. I also learned a lot about online dating.

Re-watching a classic from my childhood, "George of the Jungle".

Man, Ape really was the best part of the duology.

Just finished watching Season 1 of "Sound! Euphonium", a music based anime all about a concert band in a high school that's aiming for the Nationals.

It's a pretty good story, some very likeable characters and since it's produced by KyoAni then you can expect some GORGEOUS animation. The OP alone shows this off.

Peach Girl. it's Shojo AF, but gosh darn it's well written and I'm hooked. I don't mind Shojo, unless it breaks the sacred rules or it's terribly written, so I was genuinely surprised to find out I was enjoying it.

Nope, sorry. This is not that good. I gave it it's shot to impress me and nothing. Decent animation, awesome opening, but story is splotchy with way too many holes, main character painfully "insert yourself here", and almost paint by the numbers harem/ecchi, like they had some quota they needed to make and slathered it in places it didn't need to be in. Also MC is super cool man guy with wicked skills like yo, lades love him even though really regular looking, yet super popular fun high scoring man dude. THIS IS YOU!!! YOU ARE COOL!!!

Suffice to say, an adaptation of a terrible light novel usually makes a terrible anime. Try again next time.

I must have an opposite taste to most people because the reviews for Wonder Woman have been pretty stellar and I tough it was really only passable. Out of all the DC movies so far this one's been my leas favorite. I loved Man of Steel, I thought BvS was fantastic, specially the director's cut, and I had a lot of fun in Suicide Squad, though that one was my least favorite till now. For a movie that depicts sequences of both war and it's consequences, like people who've lost limbs, hunger, and the battlefield in less than idealized ways, the movie seemed rather child friendly by the end. I though it would've benefited from a better last act and an R rating to be more gruesome with the images of war.

Ares was also a damn weak villain. For someone who spews a whole lot of spiel abort how man is at fault for the evils that haunt them he just deteriorated to a bland bad guy as the ending approached.

All in all, meh. Not bad but not as good as everyone seems to think it is. It's safe and it I don't think I'll be watching it again until it's free on Netflix or TV.

Silent Mobius: The Motion Picture.
It's not bad at all. Great animation, tells a good story and wraps it up properly, characters react pretty realistically considering the situation. Definitely getting some Doomed Megalopolis vibes here with the magic and gruesome animation, plus a half and half mix of Blade Runner and Shin Megami Tensei. In short, it's most definitely an early 90's occult anime, and not a bad hour of my time spent.

Watching the news of the incidents in London. Kind of hoping it's a nutter rather than a planned terrorist attack. That would be kind of easier to handle, I think.

Was watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a little while ago; because despite the inherent flaws in the movie franchise, I still enjoy them. (The third is where things get kinda weird, but meh).

In the last month I watched the first episode about a dozen of TV shows on Netflix. Only Helix convices me to continue the season until the end.
