I'll reiterate that AAA titles and titles from Capcom's key/pillar franchises (which are RE, SF, DMC, DR, MH, seemingly Dragon's Dogma as of recently and, previously, Lost Planet) are typically considered major titles. The "smallest" titles listed, at least as far back as 2012, have been Operation Raccoon City, Revelations and Lost Planet 3.
I already tale you that major title isn't necessary AAA games. No point in going in circles. Major title can be any title that deemed to be important from one business point or another, meaning it can be anything from major attempt at mobile games to major remake of old title.

No point in arguing about it until we get some more info.

So please @Innsmouth & @Sesha don't keep going in circles. I think the point you're trying to make is that it could be anything at this point, and we really won't know until some more news comes up about it.

The difficulty is, as always, that there's evidence for and against which are equally compelling. On the one hand Itsuno says he want to try and reveal his game this year and he's best known for DMC. On the other hand this 'major title' could be REmake2 as it could be considered a major title by Capcom internally due to RE2 being one of their most popular early titles. It just depends on Capcom's internal logic... do they consider DMC 'major'? I hope so. Is RE2 also 'major'? Arguably. One thing's for sure: we'll know by PSX at the absolute latest.

I have no idea, but its official Wikipedia page still states it as an "upcoming title" as of right now. But honestly, the more I read about that game's synopsis, the more I just hope Capcom abandons it as sacrificial means of developing Dragon's Dogma 2....you know, a sequel to that open-world dungeon-crawler game that ALREADY EXISTS? :shifty:

I figure since they made Dragon's Dogma Online, we won't get an actual DD2, and since it had such middling success in the West, we probably won't get DD-On, despite how awesome it is. I played it for a while with some buddies, but the constant IP switching and its massive digital size made it too much of a hassle to play and hold onto in the end :c

That's honestly the approach you should take with any developer, whether you trust them or not.

Yeeeah. It's a bit misplaced to put a massive amount of trust in a one-sided relationship like that of a producer and a consumer. I'll continue to shake my head at the people who get so hyped up beyond all reason, because it's their own fault if it all amounts to nothing in the end.

Yeah. No and No. I know people are waiting are for DMC5. Well guess what, people are waiting for DmC2. Alot of people want both and there no reason we can't get both.
i am one of those for some reason but tbh i much prefer the DMC franchise the DmC one was just basically a fun hack and slash i enjoyed playing and the story was meh just kinda mashed half of DMC and half some other random ideas
