Hey aka958, that backtracking is the reason why i stopped playing DMC2-3-4 sooner than i was expecting to.
I do mean it that i had enough of it, 3 sequels - 3 times the same mistake... when DMC3 was out the 1st time that i finished the game and i saw the backtracking again, i have sent them (capcom) an e-mail, nothing happened they did the same mistake in DMC4, lets hope that finally/eventually/at last/at the very end LOL they will stop be lazy and make more stages.

Your right, I hate repeating the stages in DMC4 but it is still a little different but when i first bought the game i hoped for new stages but when i saw that i was backtracking with dante i knew nothing new would happen except Dante epicness
