I thought there was some text in one of the games that said that Sparda ruled for some number of years and THEN passed away? I don't remember, but if not, then my brain is crazy and has been making all this up. It happens.
If that's the case, could a demon have died of natural causes? It seems...
I'll have to go with the crowd and agree that Vergil was an amazing boss. DMC3 just seemed like a pain to play for me until I got to the first Vergil fight, for some reason. After that, I got much better and not as annoyed.
All of the enemies were annoying.
I guess I must be alone in my liking of the Blades. For some reason, I always found it fun to fight those guys.
My favorite boss is Phantom. His voice was funny.
I think that after his brother's apparent "death" (in DMC3) Dante decided that he needed to get more focus, and became slightly more serious, therefore he's not as "in your face" in DMC1. The serious darkness or whatever from DMC2 might come from his experience in his business, and everything...
