Requiem was born to an unknown woman and Vergil, she would be second in the set of twins. The first one born was her brother Nero, both carried white hair and blue eyes like their father. Their happiness wouldn't last long as demons attacked the mother and newborns. Just like their father before them, they lost their mother and became separated. Nero had been found by the Order while Requiem was trying to avoid being captured by Mundus. Being separated so young, the two couldn't possibly remember their ties to one another.
The girl had no way to defend herself, being a newborn, so she was easily captured. Requiem's Devil Arm used to be a demon who was protecting his love from Mundus, he was killed and the woman was cursed onto Requiem's arm. This would cause her to be an abomination to the human world if she were to escape and that's exactly what she had been plotting when she was able to talk.
Only one way out of here and that would be to escape via a hell gate that was already open and they were dwindling down so fast. She had to make an escape as soon as possible, the plan was rather simple since she was young. It consisted of escaping when he wasn't looking... that was all, she could formulate. This plan only had a small chance of success but she attempted to escape through an open Hell Gate, on the otherside was a small village of humans.
The girl wasn't normal but had been taken in by the village elder and then given to a woman. The woman took care of her until demons started attacking her home. The woman found the girl was the source of all of the trouble and shunned her. Requiem lived on the streets for a few years, she was 9 about this time. Demons continued to come after her to take her back to the demon realm, but first they practically destroyed the village.
Requiem had to stop them herself, but did not have much strength or ability to use her sword yet. She tried to fight the demons herself, this showed off what her sword and demonic arm could do... It also blew her secret. After the demons were cleared, this took a few days, the devil arm was sealed into her right arm and they were chained with seals. She was then thrown out of the village and left to roam alone. This left her to wonder where her family was, who they were and why she wasn't saved from Mundus.
She has no idea as to who her family is but she needed to get down and figure out this mystery, but who would help a girl who looked like this!? The girl had large purple demonic arms with chains wrapped around them. If the seals touched her they would burn, they were there to keep her from moving her arms. The arms would give her a hard time to get help finding her family and getting advice.
The girl spent days, weeks... Months trying to break off the chains, if they came off the seals would too... or that's what she thought anyway. Smashing her arms against everything and anything, even buildings. Requiem happened upon a blacksmith who she surprised by putting her arms under his hammer as he swung down. The chains shattered and she was free of the binds.
When unsealed from the binding chains, her right arm loses the purple demonic arm. The left arm is still a demonic like entity, what comes from her right arm is the Katana she uses. She thanked the man and put her Katana back on her hip and went right back to the task at hand, family... Finding them would take a miracle...
She had been asking around, there was an old man who had seen someone with a demonic arm hanging around Dante, so she went to find the man. The only other thing that the old man could tell her was that she could find him at a place called Devil May Cry. Finding Dante wasn't very hard at all, he was the only demon hunter around, that and his shop wasn't very hard to find either. She busted down his door and entered, holding her sword out to the man... she demanded information.
Dante didn't have any information about her at all, but had some on another man who looked like her and had the demonic arm. This would cause her to have to leave again, but she needed a break from her searching. She finally had a few weeks of rest after searching for about 6 years, she bunked with her Uncle Dante. The girl learned a few things from her uncle about the business.
Meeting her brother would prove to be a bit difficult due to where he was. Where is Fortuna? The name sounded familiar to her so she asked Dante about it. After asking she left to go off and find her brother. This turned into an easier find than searching for her family entirely. She was able to find him with the help of a girl, she didn't like the girl though. Kyrie helped her find her brother... and she still doesn't like her.
