Graphical fidelity is a tool to express art. It is literally irrelevant on its own.
So I really don't get why people focus on it so much. Many of the best looking games I had seen had come out before 2010.
And I have to agree - Credo was one of best boss fights not just in DMC4, but in any game I had ever played. It is just responsive in a way most boss fights are not.
Action RPG akin to Dragon's Dogma maybe, and also possibly a survival horror (imagine being a normal policeman in a mass demonic invasion scenario... gives off Resident Evil vibes).
As much as I like Nero, I do agree he cannot really function as a standalone protagonist of a main game.
Although I am not sure Dante can carry the games any more as well... rheuma must be killing him.
