My beilief of DMC5 is Nero and Dante will be in it, that I am sure of Nero because Capcom will still want to grab new player and Dante well it wouldnt be DMC without the big guy now would it? I think the game will be set sometime after DMC4 and even if it is Nero's past could still be reveiled...

I could be wrong but being a fairly good person for figuring out reasons for how people react. Vergil is a good guy, at first after losing his mother I am guessing intially it could have been "If I had power I could have stopped her from dying" he then seeked power to stop anyone close from ever...
