the fact is that we are getting neither of the dante version we have seen. cant remember where i heard it but they have said that the version we have seen until now is just to show what they can do with the new graphic engine. put that aside and my favorite dante is definetly the dmc 4 official...

dante is a rebel, rebellion just fits his personallity more than the other swords. and i can imagine that force egde would remain in the sparda form, and as a starting sword i think sparda would be a bit too powerful.
