I just remember, I used to play games called "galerians", they came out before dmc 4, where JYB voiced main character in sequel What I mean is Johnny could pull a non-Nero tone if he tried, why he still sounded like Nero when he supposedly wasn't acting like Nero this time? . . .

I can think of Nero's mother being Vergil's partner and traveled with him for some time before DMC3 if you want a believable relationship. So that would mean she wasn't living in Fortuna in first place, and this needs a reason why Vergil "dumped" her at Fortuna... Mmmm this is too much work nah...

I get this, but when I look at the result where character didn't utter a word about his own reason why he acted that way then maybe... poor management also played a part. It's not like you can not put Eva in Vergil's dialogues. Like change his "without strength you can not protect anything" line...
