Yeah you know what? When I tried to imagine what a modern AC would be like without turning into a shoot 'em up the first thing that jumped into my head was a third person Mirrors Edge. I think maybe because when you look out the window in the first game it looks like a scene straight out of it lol.
Yeah I finished it a few days ago and thought it was awesome but I hope they change the formula a bit in the next one. It's like they were told that AC1 was way too repetitive and so they turned it on it's head and made AC2 as random as possible. I enjoyed it but at times found I just missed a bit of familiarity and consistency and seemed to be just wandering from random predicament to random predicament thinking "whats the point of this mission again?". With Altiar it got a bit old but you really feel like a lethal pro who knew exactly what he needed to do and exactly how to go about it, no messing no foreplay.
Hopefully if they end up going to Japan or something they can find a happy medium between the two.
