Rumor: Devil May Cry 5 to launch after 2012?

A rumour about DMC5:

We’ve been hearing rumors of a Ninja Theory-developed Devil May Cry 5 since April now. Ninja Theory themselves have even refused to comment on the issue. Today, if the latest issue of PSM3 is any accurate, Devil May Cry 5 is in development at the studio, but its release may be a bit far back from now.

‘The Insider’ section of the magazine writes that a US source has revealed to them that “Heavenly Sword dev, Ninja Theory, is working on Devil May Cry 5 for current-gen consoles.”

However, it goes on to say: “We hear it isn’t currently on Capcom’s two year schedule, but don’t rule out a surprise announcement at E3.”

So, a possible announcement at E3 and a 2012 release date? What are your thoughts?

Hopefully, Devil May Cry 5 will be making a debut at E3. I hoped that Ninja Theory will be working together with Capcom to make the best DMC game, if it happens. Although a 2012 release is a bit too long, but hopefully it will arrives earlier than the rumours stated.

Since Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be released on Spring 2011, which also features Dante in his DMC3 costume (default costume), chances are that Devil May Cry 5 may be released on 2012.

However, if Capcom really will not develop the game, then they will be the publisher of the game, with Ninja Theory as the main developer for the game.

I think capcom are going in circles from fan feedback for the games. Some say , they are very good and some hate nero and his posse.

In DMC 3, There was a huge hue and cry over vergil. Capcom give a "vergil-like" character in DMC 4. Oh no, we want dante again.I hope ninja theory dont add unnecessary elements that disturb the divinity of the game. However we can expect more inputs to game as there is more than one firm working on it.

Eg:I found concept art in fortuna broken at places such as transition from ice-cold castle to forest,dante reaches saviour through a detour,Void and non-entertaining walkthroughs. I believe these could not be attended due to the shortage of resources and effort to get into details for such transitions.

Though it is a rumour,Logically it makes sense of needing more inputs as DMC is most detailed game i have played and think more details need to be added.

With Playstation Move and 3d Glasses and all it will take a bit longer than we think. If you noticed the Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi is working on Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, and I am not sure about Shinji Mikami since he does Background work on DMC 3 and 4 and RE5, but he working with Sega and Vanquish (Possible Bayonetta 2). Most likely they will release it Oct 2011, but Capcom got history of releasing DMC 2,3 and 4 after Feb. I believe they gonna release it anytime after Feb 2012.

^You got mixed up.It is Tsuchibayashi that provides background work for RE5 and DMC series.Also Mikami left along with Kamiya,severing any ties with Capcom when clover studio was disbanded.Though I doubt Doucheyashi will give a "move" title[and I hope he doesn't].

Yet 3D...also doubt that...unless they try it on a game outside of the 3DS to test the whole 3D tv thing...

Er...Tsuchi's been with the DMC team since day 1.She/He is involved in DMC 1,2,3 and 4 as far as artwork and background artwork's concrened and all the Snegoku BASARA series up until now.

As for Mikami,he left Capcom in 2006,along with the rest of studio Clover,so that can't be.So being involved in Capocm titles after 2006 is pretty much impossible...

And background design...are we talking about the same guy?

Well I dunno and not gonna argue, but I looked all about in DMC 3 and 4 and RE 5 Hardcover Books and Guides from CAPCOM and all the arts and all in it, there no mention of Makato Tsuchibayashi is in it as name credits.. Shinji Mikami is in them.

Makato Tsuchibayashi is 100% in DMC 1, she designed Dante and characters. But you might be right, DMC 1 was supposed to be RE4 so she must of design RE4 also same time and the rest but not credited. Weird.

It might be just the credits.It's starnage thoug a sthere is promotional art of Tsuchi for DMC3 and 4.Maybe it might just stayed promo art,that's why it wasn't listed...but Mikami?That's super wrong.They better get their facts straight.
