Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Agonofinis / Terreofinis / Mortifinis

These skeleton creatures are your typical video game fodder but fortunately they’re slow and very easy to eliminate. They tend to use either an axe or a sword for melee combat and sometimes even come equipped with a shield. Try not to get too close to some of the advanced ones, as they will try and suck you inside them once you get too close and slam you back out onto the hard floor.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Goatling / Blood Goat / Abyss Goat

These human/goat hyrbid creatures are a little more advanced than the Agonofinis variety of enemy as they are capable of using powerful magic spells against you. The easiest way to distinguish the Goat breed of enemies apart is by their colour; the standard Goatlings are the first of the three you encounter and you will easily spot them, the middle-class Blood Goat sports a crimson colour all over its body and the most powerful of them all, the Abyss Goat, is entirely black.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Pyromancer / Auromancer / Brontmancer

These wizard type enemies are pretty limited with their attacks as they will only use elemental spells. Whenever they are preparing an attack a circle will be lit up right in front of them that will turn a specific colour depending on which element they are intending to use.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Msira / Homomsira / Gbusmsira / Jomothumsira

These enemies are all very similar and they all seem to use a very similar fighting strategy. They pretty much all use slash attacks that can be quite damaging on the higher difficulties such as Dante Must Die. The Homromsira variety however use a more powerful fire punch instead, the Ghusmsira are able to use attacks to poison you and the Jomothumsira (which are the most challenging) are easily the most powerful of the bunch.

A good mix of melee combat and shotgun blasts work well against these.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Puia

The Puia beasts bear a faint resemblance to vultures (that’s about the best way I can describe them) but they are very fast and capable of knocking you fiercely out of the air. They will also pursue you on the ground and fire their razor sharp feathers at you as well. Their swiftness makes them a difficult target with your swords and other devil arms so your best bet of hitting them is by whipping out your guns or knives and attacking that way.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Flambat

Flambat’s generally do not pose much of a threat at all when alone as their attacks are quite weak but the main problem is that they are tricky to hit with your sword and can make life difficult when in groups. It’s recommended you take them out with your projectile weapons.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Demonochorus

Possibly the most tedious creatures in the game, these little bugs will attempt to cause fire to rise from beneath your feet so keep on your toes whenever Dante starts to turn a slightly yellow shade. Blast them with your shotgun whenever the opportunity arises.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Spicere

Not really an enemy as such… but they still pose a minor threat. Keep your distance from these sphere-like objects as they will explode when they come into close contact or whenever attacked.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Infestant

Infestants are parasitic creatures that will attempt to bond with either a living or non-living host and take control. Keep a watchful eye on them whenever you are close to one as they will try and lunge at your face.

Devil May Cry 2 Enemy: Blade

You will only ever encounter these monsters underwater. They are limited to a single attack which allows them to shoot their claws at you, which fortunately aren’t all that damaging.
