@Lain, there is actually a really bad precedent of the Academy giving chances to an animated movie that everyone has seen rather than a good one i.e Boss Baby over A Silent Voice.

I thought it would be the case this year too, with Incredibles 2 over Into The Spiderverse. Glad I was wrong.

Deserved it.

I haven't seen it yet, my roommate's a huge Spidey fan, so I'm thinking of buying the blu ray for him as a late birthday gift
