That gear system, and the standard DLC bullcrap. To hell with Spawn (pun intended), if they don't sort those things out, that's when I am out. The former especially, could make or break the game (a fighting game with an RPG stats system, wtf). They did say there will be a mode where gear stats won't matter but how many people will play it compared to the one where they do matter, we'll see.
So you just don't know who'd play the game without the stat boosts and just with the cosmetic changes that people have wanted from the start? Keepaway is only hard when you're unskilled. Spawn not being in the game is much more worrisome than that. At least we don't know for certain if he'll be in it.
I won't make any excuses for them, I think their keepaway is stupid and even if there are ways to get past it, it's still stupid and obnoxious as I see it. Just make the projectiles clash instead of bypass each other. That stuff makes the keepaway not only annoying (didn't say hard, I said annoying), but also boring as a playstyle to begin with. As for the gear system, it still remains a dumb idea imo.
Spawn is still the least of my concerns, a character not being in the game ain't as worrisome as a mechanic or system being broken. Actually no, now that I think about it, he is a concern of mine. As part of the DLC bull fest they have in store. -.-"
If all of the characters are new in the DLC and have different dialogues even when in different costumes, then what's the real problem with them charging the amount they do? Did you think the extra work they put in was going to be free? Do you think these VAs did this job as a favor?
Just don't go crazy with all the voice acting and dialogue then?
If you think the gear system is cool, good for ya, I still think it's stupid and possibly a way to encourage them to churn out gear as DLC too, and thus possibly making the game pay to win, just buy the powerful stuff and go in stats matter mode.
They could have gone with cosmetic only exclusively. You know WB wants to sell gear, and I think they will, who's gonna tell them no. Their business practices with this game, THAT'S the pressing matter. Spawn, tsk.
