Red; their eyes are red due to the blood they suck. The more they suck, the redder their eyes get. The less they suck, the duller the red hue.

Yeah, don't wanna insult you Dragon, but I agree with Shadow. That's what Twilight did.
Plus it wouldn't really work. I prefer the Buffy approach, where they have a normal human face then a 'game face'

Always dude, hate to say that I know this (And I know this cause I've done research on several versions of vampires)
The 'vampires' in Twilight have red eyes (from drinking human blood) or gold (from drinking animal blood) and they darken the thirstier they become until they turn Onyx black
