Cause I'm in an argument with some idiot who seems to think so. FYI, Marvel states puts Wolverine's combat skills at 7/7 (Master of all forms of combat)
I read up on something about that. Apparently because he knows he can take a lot of blows he substitutes his martial arts abilities to just take the damage anyway. So he knows he can fight, but also knows he can just withstand the pain and rely on his adamantium.
You should get that guy to explain to you how fighting with any melee weapon is not a martial art to begin with. As if handheld weapons similar to Wolverine's claws haven't been used historically anyway.
@absolitude His pure hand-to-hand combat skills are a little nerfed in the movies. But the comic book Wolverine is one of Marvel's finest martial artists, able to go toe-to-toe with Captain America, and keep up with Black Panther and Iron Fist in a fist fight
@Foxtrot94 Ikr? That's what I was thinking. Admittedly, this was in an argument of Batman vs Wolverine, he basically said Batman always practiced martial arts while Wolverine rarely does relying on his claws most of the time?
Meanwhile I'm thinking "Right, cause no martial artists have ever used their skills while armed with a weapon"
now that's a shame they didn't dig that up in the movies, i mean they don't have to show it the action, well nolan's batman didn't really show it in the action, but it still is a good thing to know.. this whole time i saw him as some brute with claws..
