Spoiler Alert: I'm glad Scott Eastwood wasn't Deathstroke. I had a feeling that if he did join SS, then they'd have to tone his abilities down in order to makes others seem more relevant.
If they're gonna utilize Deathstroke in the DCEU, I want him in his full metahuman glory, not the chickensh!t version we got in the animated movies/shows.
we all want that.. anyway, as far as i've read over the internet, ron perlman is on most wishlist, so yeah if WB reads he should get the role, and he's experienced in CMB too .. manganiello is 6.5 tho, and he kinda look as old as affleck at least ..
deathstroke has been butchered in every live action and animated adaptation of him. if he shows up in the DCEU i doubt things will be different. also, they can't use deathstroke in arrow because manu bennet punched a fan in the face at one of the cons he was at
@absolitude: I'd love Idris Elba as Deathstroke. I wonder though if his contract with Disney forbids him from joining any other competing company (FOX, Sony, Warner Bros.) when it comes to superhero properties. It sure seems like something the big studio high-ups would enforce on the actors that signed it.
@Teal See? We already have an origin story for how he lost his eye ;)
Also I don't think those contracts hold too strong because Natalie Portman left the MCU and so did Gwyneth Paltrow. Who Idris was playing was more or less insignificant to the MCU so he can easily be replaced like Terrance Howard was for Don Cheadle in playing Rhode.
@DragonMaster2010, Natalie Portman was kicked out due to poor fan reception. Terrence Howard was being salty because Downey Jr got more money than him, so they replaced him. Ed Norton was unwilling to promote the films. Gwyneth Paltrow is still on, I believe. She just wasn't in Civil War.
So, unless Elba punches Feige in the face or something, he's out.
@Teal actually Terrance was out because the executive for Marvel (the dude who gave millions to Donald Trump) kicked him out and replaced him while saying "He's black, they all look the same anyway." Natalie left Marvel from what I heard, not get kicked out, but I could be wrong. I'm still salty that Ed Norton didn't play Bruce Banner. He would have nailed it.
@DragonMaster2010, where do you even get your news? Terrence Howard said it himself he didn't return for Iron Man 2 because "the man I helped become Iron Man, took the money and pushed me out."
To clarify, he was asking for a considerable sum of money just to take a supporting role.
I'd actually appreciate it if you provide a link to whatever source that dictates Terrence got fired because of racism.
